Product details

The 2-in-1 Swaddle Transition Sleep Bag simplifies the transition out of swaddling and offers an alternative for babies who may not like swaddling.

Safe for rolling babies - allows baby to push up and roll (depending on individual development).

Primary features and benefits

  • The Standard Weight 0.5 Tog Transition Sleep Bag is made of a single layer of stretchy t-shirt-like fabric (95% cotton and 5% spandex). It's suitable for year-round use and daytime naps. Dress your baby underneath the Transition Sleep Bag as needed for the room temperature.
  • Safe for rolling babies - allows baby to push up and roll (depending on individual development).
  • Offers an alternative for babies who may not like swaddling.
  • Innovative patented design enables babies to move their arms freely, all while experiencing a secure and enclosed feeling. The design also offers a slight resistance on the arms (when covered), which helps suppress lingering startle reflexes that babies may experience during the swaddle transition process.
  • Seamlessly adapt to your baby's needs with our smart 2-in-1 design, featuring built-in hand mittens that offer the convenience to cover or uncover baby's hands as they prefer and facilitate natural self-soothing.
  • Relaxed fit ensures added comfort and ease of movement, allowing your baby to move freely and find their own cosy sleep position.
  • Hip-healthy wide bell shaped design allows full leg flexion and healthy hip development
  • Premium natural fabrics for optimal breathability and comfort
  • Two-way YKK zipper for easy nappy changes
  • Designed in Australia based on the principles of safe sleep
  • Conforms to the Australian safety standard AS/NZS 1249:2014

Sizing Guide

Choose the size according to your baby’s Weight or Height, whichever is greater of the two, rather than relying on your baby’s age.

Moreover, if your baby continues to display a strong startle reflex, we recommend opting for a snugger fit to improve startle reflex suppression. For example, if your baby's height measures 60cm and the startle reflex is still strong, we recommend choosing the Small size over the Medium.

How many Swaddle Transition Sleep Bags do I need?

We recommend purchasing at least two Swaddle Transition Sleep Bag per size. Consider getting an extra spare for added convenience, as babies can be messy with leaking nappies and spit ups. One to wash, one to wear, and one to spare!

Introducing the Transition Sleep Bag to your baby

When making changes to your baby's sleep environment or routine, such as introducing a new sleep product like our 2-IN-1 Swaddle Transition Sleep Bag, it's important to be aware that each baby has their own unique sleep preferences. A gradual introduction to the new sleep change may be necessary if your baby is already accustomed to sleeping in a certain way. The method outlined below has helped many parents successfully transition their babies into the new sleep change.

Start by introducing the change during your baby's most restful period, typically the early part of the night when their sleep pressure is highest. However, make sure that your baby has had adequate day naps and is not overtired, as this will help them fall asleep more easily. Once the new change has been introduced during this initial period, gradually extend it to the rest of the night and morning, followed by daytime naps. Keep in mind that your baby may be more alert during the day and may find it more difficult to adjust to the new change.

Allow your baby some time to adapt to the new sleeping habit. With a bit of persistence, you may find that your baby is able to transition to the new swaddle successfully.

General Dressing Guide

As a good starting point, we recommend that you dress your baby as you would dress yourself for the room temperature; comfortably warm, neither too hot nor too cold. Feel your baby's chest, tummy, or back regularly to check his/her temperature. It should feel comfortably warm, not too hot or cool to your touch. You can then add or remove layers as needed. Please note, all babies are all different; additionally, other factors such as humidity in your region, whether there is heating in the house, and your baby's health can determine how you should dress your baby.
